As Mayor, Mary will be a steady, thoughtful, and accessible voice for the entire community. She will continue to listen closely, communicate openly, and bring residents together around common goals - ensuring that every voice is heard and every concern is taken seriously. Working Hand in Glove with Borough Council
In New Hope, Borough Council holds the authority to pass ordinances, set budgets, and shape policy. The Mayor’s role is one of leadership through collaboration, ensuring that the voices of residents are carried into every decision. As Mayor, she will build productive relationships with all council members, present thoughtful ideas, and listen carefully to feedback. She will encourage quarterly “Mayor + Council” town halls to keep residents informed and engaged, and she will establish opportunities for community input so concerns are heard early in the process. Mary will also advocate for accountability in borough operations, promoting improvements that make local government more effective and transparent.
